A Lot's Going On

Ok Majuta Journey bloggowers, it's been 3 weeks since we arrived and a lot has been going on. Let me just make the update quick.

Chester had a good first flight (even though it was a pretty long one) he felt a little queezy during the take offs and landings of the first 2 but then by the third time he was fine. We landed and jumped right into the swing of things and headed to pick up Dee Dee and go to Jaden's football game. We headed to Baltimore that first week for a job interview at Johns Hopkins University and my dad got to meet Chester for the first time.

First flight!!

The interview went well and my dad and Chester's introduction was great too. That sunday,
which marked our first full week here, my family hosted a small welcome back cookout that turned out to be a small family reunion. IT WAS GREAT!! And of course everyone loved Chester and had so many ideas to help him get comfortable.

The last week and a half has been filled with a bunch of running around, visits, cleaning, and of course a WHOLE LOT OF EATING :). Still searching for a job and looking at apartments and furniture, even though we don't have jobs yet, but we will be ready when it comes. LOL. Chester has been painting a lot lately and it is so exciting to see him motivated to paint again. His work is amazing and although he's working on a porfolio to apply to schools, people are already asking how much his work costs. Good to know that people are interested, right.

Chester's Work

We've been missing some aspects of home (Botswana). I could go for a community day or a King's Foundation outreach right about now. And I keep hearing "dada da da daduda, dada da da daduda" Yall no what that is right? BTV theme song. We have been getting a few looks as we blast a bit of Vee and Chester Majuta "the Real Champion" in the car.

Overall it's nice to be back and although we have become patient and are loving the support of the family we can't wait to get our own place and start settling in to set up as a family. We are growing closer and closer together and it's so nice to have each other as we are both going through this transition. Talk to yall soon...
